Thaloryn Wanderer

Geban folklore

Origin
Mythical (Thaloryn, Geban continent)
Classification
Folklore entity, no confirmed physical existence

The Thaloryn Wanderer is a mythical shadowy figure from pre-imperial Geban folklore, said to haunt the ruins of ancient Thaloryn, the first of the five nations to ally with Vaer'karesh during the founding of the Geban Empire. Described as faceless and formless, it was invoked in tales to deter misbehavior, caution outsiders, and instill reverence for the dead.

In modern times, several criminal groups have adopted its likeness before carrying out violent acts, which has tied it more closely to fear and punishment. These incidents have moved the Wanderer from a moral warning in old tales to an object of present-day dread across Geba. Geban folklore has never settled whether the original stories describe something that existed or something invented to explain the feeling of being watched in places where too many people died.
