Stormbread Tree

Inland Thazvaar desert giant

Origin
Inland Thazvaar
Record
Geban field flora

The Stormbread Tree is a massive, thorned desert tree that defines Inland Thazvaar’s most hostile terrain. Its roots extend hundreds of meters into the ground and draw trace moisture from deep aquifers, allowing it to survive decades without rainfall, and a single storm can sustain it for years.

Its tall frame carries long, needle-like spines coated in a paralyzing toxin. Despite the danger, its great size and resilience make it a vital landmark, and stranded travelers use it to orient themselves when relay trackers fail.

When enough water is present, the tree produces a rare, dense fruit known as Stormbread. For desert dwellers, a Stormbread Tree in fruit is a sign of hidden abundance, proof that groundwater or Coastal Thazvaar lies nearby.
