Glassbloom
Saethera predatory plant
Origin
Saethera (silver-lit groves)
Record
Geban field flora
The Glassbloom is a translucent predatory plant native to the silver-lit groves of Saethera. Its glowing petals draw small fauna in close, then the bloom seals shut and traps them inside. A corrosive acid dissolves the prey into nutrient sludge, which the plant later expels to spread new growth across the grove floor. It sits on the line between flora and fauna: it shows basic reactive movement and a limited awareness of its surroundings, responding to vibration and heat. It is beautiful from a distance, but entire outpost groves have been lost to unchecked Glassbloom growth.
