Fastreef is the reef-building coral of Jeyrha's shallow coastal waters, named for how quickly it grows. A colony can spread a full meter in a year, and a damaged reef can rebuild itself within a few seasons.

It forms branching, pale gold colonies one to six meters across that knit together into reef walls along the coast. The reefs it builds are the spawning grounds of the Reefmarcher and the base of the coastal fisheries that feed much of Jeyrha.

Jeyrhan ecological engineers seed Fastreef deliberately to extend and repair the reefs, and the continent's engineered reefs are built on it. Wild colonies also grow along the warm shallows of the Manalheim Ocean.
