Ghyralis Charger
Berinu plains herbivore
The Ghyralis Charger is a tall herbivore native to Berinu's plains, known for its sweeping horns, near-360-degree vision, and tri-hoofed feet built for speed and endurance. Wild Berinese specimens stand 3 to 5 meters and move with explosive power across the grasslands, and their herds trample vegetation and keep the plains open. The Charger is normally calm but dangerous when startled, and a single stampede can level settlements and reshape terrain. The Berinese revere it for its unstoppable momentum.
The Charger has since spread across Geba in numerous regional variants, sold in population centers on nearly every continent. The Thazvaari variant is smaller and has significantly greater endurance, adapted to the arid inland terrain where sustained travel matters more than burst speed. The Geban and Ngorrhali variants are considerably larger and are bred for draft work and formal showings; neither is bred for mounted travel. Every variant is difficult to domesticate, yet the Charger is prized as a mount where airships and rovers cannot operate, and it remains one of the most commercially distributed animals on the planet.
