Yuvaar Kelek

Yuvaar lowland feline

Origin
Yuvaar (dense lowland regions)
Length
Up to 1.5 meters
Weight
Up to 90 kg

The Yuvaar Kelek is a small feline predator native to the dense lowlands of Yuvaar, rarely exceeding 90 kilograms in mass or 1.5 meters in length. It is notorious for targeting prey far larger than itself, striking from concealment with great speed and gripping its quarry in a single pounce with crushing jaw force. It refuses to release even when mortally wounded and is known to die before letting go.

The Kelek is revered across Yuvaar as an emblem of unyielding will, and its hunting behavior directly inspired the region's most practiced martial art, which bears its name. It is distantly related to the Smilohound lineage. It is valued chiefly for its example, as an icon of asymmetric power, and it is the animal that best explains how Yuvaari men think about combat: a fighter can take on something larger than himself, as long as he is the one who does not let go.
