Ngorrhal Cliffspire

Ngorrhal cliff plant

Origin
Ngorrhal (high cliffs and ridges)
Record
Geban field flora

The Ngorrhal Cliffspire is a rare plant found along Ngorrhal’s high cliffs and ridges, closely related to the Ngorrhal Root. It grows in narrow crevices where the wind is sharpest, its twisted stems clinging to the stone and drawing nutrients from mineral-heavy frost. It is nearly impossible to cultivate, and wild specimens are harvested carefully for their potent chemical compounds. Dried and prepared, the Cliffspire can be brewed into tea, smoked, or refined into a vapor sprayed directly into the eyes. Its effects are far stronger than the Root’s, and it is entirely unsuitable for daily use.

The extract produces deep sedative and trance-like states that often last several hours. Users describe a sensation of falling weightlessly, followed by complete loss of muscle control and partial hallucination. For this reason the Cliffspire is used only recreationally or ceremonially, often by mountaineers or Frost Sentinel veterans seeking calm after high-altitude exposure. Despite its reputation, dependency is rare because the effects are so intense, and the plant remains a controlled but legal luxury across much of modern Geba.
