Boretheris Titan

Kela plateau herbivore

Origin
Kela (plateaus)
Shoulder Height
8 to 12 meters
Weight
15 to 30 tonnes

The Boretheris Titan is a massive herbivore of the Kela plateaus and the most popular meat source on Geba. It stands 8 to 12 meters at the shoulder and weighs 15 to 30 tonnes, and its thick, armored hide is scarred from fights with its own kind. It grazes tough alpine scrub to sustain that frame, and as a keystone grazer it keeps the landscape open for smaller fauna. Its charges in displays of dominance shake the ground, shape the grasslands and scatter herds.

Its territorial aggression makes it a risk to settlements. During the Late Conquest, large-scale management of the herds cleared the plateaus for expansion and secured the imperial food supply. It is herded on frozen fenced plains that span kilometers, and its hide is made into durable clothing for cold environments. The species remains the foundation of Kela's agricultural economy and one of the most commercially important animals on the planet.
