Bogfloss
Berinu bog sedge
Origin
Berinu (bogs and wetlands)
Record
Geban field flora
The Bogfloss is a cottony sedge native to the bogs and wetlands of Berinu. Its dense, absorbent tufts grow on tall stalks that mark deep water, and its presence identifies a deep, nutrient-rich bog. The plant helps stabilize soft bog ground and supports small aquatic life across the wetland floor. The dried fibers are collected for fire starters, wicks, and field insulation, and are a standard expedition material.
