The Manalheim Megatree is an ancient geothermal giant native to Manalheim’s volcanic ridges and plains. It is estimated to live over 10,000 years and stands multiple kilometers high, with bases spanning hundreds of meters across. Its roots extend into molten strata and absorb and redistribute geothermal energy that nourishes entire ecosystems. The bark resists fire and corrosion and stays alive for centuries even after external damage. The trees are so large that new pilots approaching Manalheim often misjudge their altitude, mistaking the canopies for nearby terrain. They dominate Manalheim’s skyline and act as natural stabilizers.
