Feisuhosufes Hies

The Erased King of the Gulf

Era

Origin

Alias
King Hies, the Erased King of the Gulf

Feisuhosufes Hies was a ruthless Thazvaari ruler descended from the pirate warlords of Kharan's Gulf. Eligibility for the hand of Queen Nethelys Zahmira VIII was restricted by class to a limited number of contenders. Hies secured the position by eliminating every rival in turn until he was the only remaining candidate acceptable by class.

During the final imperial campaign he presided over the decades-long siege centered on Kharan's Gulf, the last position held by the Dominion and the one fortified longest against imperial advance. The siege ended when Emperor Venar'Tal Kareth relocated to the front to conclude the war personally and took the Gulf. Hies was captured alive.

His recorded last words were directed at Emperor Venar'Tolarg, killed decades earlier in Northern Thazvaar with his body never recovered, whose death had placed the young Venar'Tal on the throne. Addressing the son, Hies said:

I hope the flying beasts of the desert tore his body to pieces and the sands erased his filthy imperial blood. If I had lived then, I would have brought his head and set it on display for all to see, an example of what happens to trash.

He then spat blood in the emperor's face and laughed.

Venar'Tal vowed that no record would preserve his name. Hies was transported to northern Berinu and publicly executed, ending the siege and clearing the way for imperial consolidation of the Gulf. By imperial decree his history was struck from the archives. The decree was carried out thoroughly enough that the full name was nearly lost with it, and what survives of his record, including Feisuhosufes, exists only through oral accounts.
