Bol
Relayman
Method
Bol documented The Game with the skills of a Yuvaari hunter, unwilling to enter a Game clearing himself. He outfitted trained fauna, including Goldenwings, with beacons and broadcast equipment and released them near known Game locations. The creatures looked like ordinary wildlife and drew no attention from the people operating the clearings. Nobody fires at a Goldenwing. Through them he got overhead and perimeter footage that no human relayman could have taken without being detected, from angles a person would have had to stand in the open to reach. That footage confirmed that The Game existed and turned a profit on private relay networks.
Retirement
At seventy, Bol is retired and lives in Yuvaar, where he judges and commentates on the Yuvaar Hunting Games. He invests in his own athletes, who never do very well. His handling of fauna for broadcast made him one of the most creative relaymen in the profession's history. He let the animals do the dangerous part and stayed back to transmit what they captured, which is why his footage exists and why he is still alive to talk about it.
