Preface

This document is the product of decades of direct observation, genetic sampling, cultural immersion, and clinical interviews conducted across nine continents and within every major population center on the planet. It is not a history. It is not a political document. It is a record of what each population is, how they behave, and why. Where theory is offered it is identified as such. Where fact is stated it has been verified through methods I am prepared to defend to any institution on Geba, though I expect none will ask.

I am Geban. I am almost certainly of Thaloryn descent based on phenotypic markers and cognitive profiling, though the formation of a singular imperial identity over six thousand years has made it impossible to meaningfully track lineage through genes alone. No member of my family before me pursued anything to a height worth recording. I am the beginning of my own history. I state this so that the reader understands I am aware of my biases and have chosen not to eliminate them. Objectivity without perspective is useless. I know what I am. I know where I stand. The reader will account for it or they will not.

I. The Geban (Imperial)

There is no meaningful distinction between the terms Geban and Imperial. By the modern era the political identity has absorbed the ethnic one so completely that the two are synonymous. If someone says Imperial, they mean Geban. If someone says Geban, they mean the people who built, maintained, and continue to operate the systems that hold this planet together. Whether this is accurate in every case is irrelevant. It is what they believe, and that belief is the single most defining psychological trait of the population.

The average Geban male stands at approximately 5'8". The average female at approximately 5'3". Hair ranges from light brown to dark brown. Skin ranges from copper to darker pale, with women notably lighter in complexion. Following the Era of Imperial Conquest, the average skin tone across the continent darkened as populations from conquered territories migrated inward and mixed with the existing population. This is observable and unremarkable. It changed the appearance of the population without changing what the population is.

Physical variation among Gebans is wider than any other single ethnic group on the planet. This is because the five nations that existed before unification were genetically distinct populations that were absorbed into a single identity over thousands of years. The nations no longer exist. Their names are historical curiosities. But their bloodlines persist in every generation. A Geban who stands over seven feet tall and carries a frame built for sustained heavy labor is expressing Varenan ancestry whether they know it or not. A Geban who is lean, muscular, and fights with an economy of movement that suggests generational refinement is expressing Garnath or Beithon lineage. A Geban woman who is notably taller than every man in her district, with orange-brown hair and an obsessive interest in financial systems, is almost certainly carrying Thaloryn markers. A Geban who is pale with dark hair and grey eyes and moves between communities without forming lasting attachments is carrying Therik ancestry, and I would advise keeping close watch on your possessions around them. The variation is there. The names are not.

The historical fighting class of the Geban population has always been lean and muscular. Those descending from the laborer and worker populations have always been larger. In the modern era, this distinction is functionally meaningless. Weapons, armor, and fighting technique have made individual physicality a secondary factor in combat. A 5'4" woman with proper training, equipment, and positioning will kill a 6'10" man who lacks them. This is not theory. It is the observable reality of every corridor and every contract on the planet. But the genetic lines still produce the variation, and it is visible in every crowd in the capital.

Psychologically, Gebans are structuralists. They build systems. They enforce systems. They believe in hierarchy not because they have been taught to but because the hierarchy produced results for six thousand years and they cannot conceive of a world that does not require one. They speak in elevated, formal patterns regardless of class. A Geban laborer speaks with the same grammatical structure as a Geban politician. This is not education. It is culture. The language itself was standardized during the formation of the Empire and has been reinforced through every generation since. It is the most successful cultural imposition in the history of the planet, and most Gebans do not even recognize it as an imposition. They believe it is simply how people speak.

Their facial expressions are a source of persistent misunderstanding among other populations. Gebans maintain stoic, serious faces in nearly all contexts. They appear rigid, unreadable, sometimes hostile. Then they smile, instantly, fully, and the transition is so abrupt that outsiders frequently interpret it as instability. It is not instability. It is compartmentalization. A Geban is serious until they are not. There is no gradual transition because the culture does not value one. This makes them effective negotiators and deeply unsettling dinner companions, depending on which side of the table you occupy.

In the modern era, the Geban continent operates as a capitalist society with clear wealth classes. Over thirty percent of the continent's population lives near the capital mega hub. The southern coast is largely uninhabited. The gender ratio on the Geba continent specifically is approximately 5:1 or 8:1, significantly lower than the planetary ratio of 25:1. This means males are more present on the origin continent than anywhere else on the planet, though they are still vastly outnumbered. Women dominate most professional and domestic functions. Males are not rare but they are valued in a way that borders on commodification. Polygamy is accepted but not encouraged. Most households function around the practical reality that there are not enough men to sustain monogamous structures at scale.

They view other populations with a spectrum ranging from respect to complete indifference to contempt, depending on what that population has contributed to the systems the Gebans built. They respect the Frost Sentinels for their size, their history, and their role in the Empire's military foundations. They view the Yuvaari as fighters and athletes, but the distance between the continents means most Gebans only encounter them through relay broadcasts unless they live near the capital. They view the Thazvaari with a complicated mixture of historical resentment and economic dependence, as Coastal Thazvaar has become the center of planetary luxury. They view the Jeyrhan as essential and brilliant, but they will never say it with the same weight they give their own accomplishments. They view the Berinese as loyal. They view the Kelan as useful. They view everyone through the lens of what those people do for the world the Gebans believe they own.

Their greatest strength and their greatest weakness is the same thing: they believe they are the center of everything. This belief drove them to unify a continent, conquer or assimilate every foreign population they encountered, build the relay network, standardize the language, establish the currency, and create the systems that 71 billion people depend on to survive. It also makes them incapable of seeing past themselves. They cannot imagine a world in which they are not the most important population in it. When confronted with evidence that another group has surpassed them in a specific domain, they reframe the achievement as something that happened within their system and therefore belongs to them. The Haavu Cannon Systems were designed by a Jeyrhan. The Gebans will tell you the Empire made it possible. They are not wrong. But they are never as right as they believe they are.

I am one of them. I see the pattern because I am inside it. I would not change it.

II. The Ngorrhali

I have spent more time among the Ngorrhali than any other non-Geban population. I have observed them in the Sentinel district, in the training camps of Ngorrhal, in the capital's mixed commercial zones, and in the field during contracted operations where their presence was requested. I have interviewed dozens. I have genetically sampled hundreds. Their physiology is thoroughly documented. Their psychology requires significantly more long-term immersion data to model completely, not because they are opaque but because the behavioral sample available to outside observers is narrow by design. They do not perform for study. They simply exist, and what they allow you to see is what they have decided you will see.

The typical Ngorrhali male stands between 6'8" and 7'2". The typical female between 6'4" and 6'8". These are not the Frost Sentinel lineage. These are the ones considered average. Those who descend from the Western Pass bloodline are immediately identifiable: taller, significantly heavier, with tan to light brown or grey skin and light colored hair. The males commonly grow large beards. These are the origin line of the Frost Sentinels, and their frames reflect it. A Western Pass descendant in a crowd is not a person in a crowd. It is a structure occupying space. Those of the Northern Pass are also tall but carry leaner, more athletic builds with limbs noticeably longer in proportion to their torsos. Their hair ranges from dark brown to orange, and the males do not grow facial hair at all. The orange hair is worth noting. It appears in the Northern Pass line and appeared historically in Thaloryn. The connection, if one exists, would trace through the Rupturans or possibly the Neron, whose silver-orange hair and pale brown skin suggest a shared ancestral marker predating recorded history. The genetic trail is too degraded to confirm, but the phenotypic echo is observable.

Then there are those who carry the Frost Sentinel lineage specifically. They are massive even by the standards of the rest of their people. The women range from 6'5" to 7'2". The men from 7'0" to 7'10". They do not move like large people. They move like people who have never considered that their size is unusual, because among their own it is not.

People who have never spent time around the Ngorrhali make the mistake of seeing the Northern Pass descendants as the smaller, more approachable group because they stand next to Western Pass descendants who are even larger. This is a dangerous misunderstanding. A lean Northern Pass male is still seven feet tall and approaching 300 lbs. That is lean by their standards. By the standards of every other population on this planet, that is enormous.

The Western Pass descendants are generally only friendly toward imperials. Their loyalty traces directly to the alliance forged between War Chief Tharyn'Bregun and Prince Vaer'gidon and has not wavered in six thousand years. The Northern Pass descendants are more open to outsiders broadly and do not restrict their associations by ethnic origin. Both lines share the same fundamental stillness that defines the entire population, but how they direct their trust differs.

The Ngorrhali default expression is one of complete apathy. Not anger. Not sadness. An absence of visible investment in whatever is happening around them. A massive form looming at the edge of your awareness, offering nothing to indicate whether it intends to speak, leave, or break you in half. None of them ever seem to look angry or sad. Their faces hold a neutrality so thorough it becomes its own form of pressure. I have observed them make expressions in only two contexts: when sharing humor among themselves, which is so dry and internal that it registers as silence to most outsiders, and in their training camps where they are actively fighting. Outside of those contexts, they give nothing.

Ngorrhali women naturally produce multiple children per term. Twins and higher-order multiples appear to be the norm rather than the exception. This reproductive capacity is biologically remarkable and would, if unchecked, produce population growth rates exceeding any other group on the planet. It is offset entirely by their natural prudishness. The social and temperamental barriers to intimacy are substantial enough that the biological capability is suppressed through behavior rather than biology. Even in the modern era, with populations mixing freely near the capital, the Ngorrhali remain socially distinct in ways that no other population replicates.

It has become common for Ngorrhali to court individuals of Engineered lineage, particularly Assault-Class. I question what distinction this actually represents. The Engineered were created using Frost Sentinel DNA as the genetic foundation. An Ngorrhali woman courting an Assault-Class male is, genetically speaking, courting someone built from her own people's blueprint. Whether the Ngorrhali instinctively recognize the Engineered as extensions of themselves or whether this is coincidental preference is a question the data does not yet resolve, but the frequency of these pairings suggests it is not random.

The men of Yuvaar are also particularly attracted to Ngorrhali women, which initially appears counterintuitive given that Yuvaari males rarely reach 5'10" in height. The size difference is dramatic. It is also irrelevant once you account for the culture these men come from. The Yuvaar Hunting Games produce athletes who routinely close distance with creatures that dwarf them and win. Their Holders have reached as tall as 6'3" and as heavy as 280 lbs as extreme outliers, confirming that the population can produce larger frames even if it is uncommon. A Yuvaari man has spent his entire life confronting things larger than himself. Size does not function as a deterrent in their culture. It functions as a familiar dynamic.

The tribal Ngorrhali who remain in the remote passes are functionally outside my research. They are too isolated, too elusive, and the cost of investigation is not justified by any observable contribution to the planetary record.

III. The Thazvaari

The Thazvaari are the only population on this planet whose skill set rivals the imperials in breadth and depth. This is not a statement I make with any pleasure.

They share a common ancestral base with the Yuvaari, as Yuvaar was once part of the Thazvaari Dominion before geographic separation drove the two populations in opposite directions. The island produced hunters. The mainland produced a rival empire.

The typical Thazvaari build is nearly identical to the Yuvaari: naturally lean, athletic in appearance even without training, with universally black or dark brown straight hair. Their men range from as dark as night to as light as light brown. Their women can be pale. What distinguishes them immediately is their eye color. Grey eyes that sometimes appear silver are the most recognizable Thazvaari trait on the planet. Ember and green are also common. No other population produces these with the same frequency.

Regional variation is significant. The deep inland Thazvaari tend to be taller than the coastal populations but carry less muscle mass. Their frames are built for movement and evasion, consistent with a culture that sustains resistance through depth, abandoning positions and dispersing rather than contesting. The western coast is a different matter. The Northeastern Pass Frost Sentinels fled to Thazvaar after the Ngorrhali Unification Wars, and the western coastal population carries the genetic legacy of that migration thousands of years later. They are larger, heavier, and visibly distinct from the rest of the Thazvaari population.

Coastal Thazvaar requires particular attention. It is the product of two civilizations occupying the same territory for thousands of years. The descendants of the old Empire and the descendants of the Dominion have mixed since the end of the Geban-Thazvaari War, producing the most diverse collection of faces on the planet. Extreme wealth and extreme poverty exist within walking distance of each other. The imperial Underworld and the inland syndicates both operate here alongside legitimate business, and the distinction between these categories is absent rather than blurred. Most of the innovative ideas on the planet originate in Coastal Thazvaar, though execution often happens elsewhere. Kharan's Gulf, once a pirate stronghold and the final battleground of the war, is now the premier enclave of ultra-luxury on Geba. This is where Yelidra Veykar lives. This is where Tier 1 contractors maintain their civilian identities between deployments. The proximity of extreme wealth and covert operational infrastructure is not coincidental. It is the nature of the place.

Psychologically, the Thazvaari carry an undying superiority complex. They lost the war. They were conquered. Their king was publicly executed by Emperor Venar'Tal Kareth, who then took their queen as his wife to end the royal line. None of this changed what they are. The coastal population assimilated and built the most economically dynamic region on the planet. The inland population never assimilated and built criminal networks that the Empire has failed to eradicate for thousands of years. The Jerhit Syndicate controls black-market propulsion chains across contested clearings. The Teytan declares itself the New Dominion, funds its campaigns through mass trafficking, and maintains fortified strongholds while protecting the civilians within its domain. Syndicates collapse and are rebuilt overnight. The psychology that built the Dominion never died. It changed form.

Their women are the clearest expression of this. Hard, austere, unyielding, fiercely independent. The Maiden's War was fought predominantly by women, and the ethnic hatred between Thazvaari and Berinese women continues to produce the overwhelming majority of recorded hate crimes on the planet. In border regions without relay coverage, the conflict includes abductions, trafficking, and armed skirmishes that most of the planet will never hear about. Brena Jerhit runs the wealthiest inland syndicate. These are not outliers. These are products of a population that does not yield regardless of cost.

The Thazvaari are the greatest naval boarding fighters the planet has ever produced. The Thazvaari Ascension is the living evidence. Descended directly from Dominion boarding drills, the sport has teams racing to raise flags up collapsing towers while fighting through direct assaults, platform failures, and vertical route puzzles. Unlike the Yuvaar Hunting Games, which dominate global spectacle, Ascension towers stand inside population centers and draw constant live audiences from balconies, rooftops, and plazas across Kharan's Gulf. It is accessible, dense, and local, and it reflects what the Thazvaari are: people who climb, fight, and refuse to stop ascending regardless of what collapses beneath them.

The stubbornness is the defining trait. It built the Dominion. It sustained the inland resistance. It rebuilt every syndicate that was ever destroyed. It kept their women fighting a war with no treaty and no end. It is the reason the Empire could conquer them but never govern them. Whether this constitutes strength or pathology depends on where you are standing when you observe it, and I have observed it from both positions.

IV. The Yuvaari

The Yuvaari share a common origin with the Thazvaari but have become something the Thazvaari never could. Yuvaar is a massive mountainous tropical island that was once part of the Thazvaari Dominion. Geographic isolation did what ideology could not: it stripped away everything except what was essential and produced a population defined entirely by what they can do with their bodies and what they believe about the world they live in.

They are typically darker skinned, sometimes as light as light brown, with naturally very lean bodies. Even those who do not train or participate in any sport appear to be fighters. The physique is genetic. Their hair is universally black or dark brown and straight. They rarely reach 5'10" in height, though extreme outliers among their athletes, particularly the Holders in the Hunting Games, have reached 6'3" and 280 lbs. The population can produce larger frames. It simply does not do so commonly.

They never industrialized. They were never conquered. The Empire mapped Yuvaar during the Geban-Thazvaari War and found a neutral continent with no significant industry or naval assets. What the Empire found was a population that had no interest in anything it was offering and no need for anything it could provide. Despite their isolation, they have historically been open to foreigners who visit, even training alongside them. The Bare Hand, the most lethal unarmed combat discipline in imperial doctrine, was developed by Imperator Kenez'Feraaz after studying Yuvaari martial forms and stripping them of their ceremonial restrictions. The Yuvaari allowed him to observe and train. The Empire took what it learned and removed the limits. The Yuvaari kept theirs. Many Bare Hand veterans returned to Yuvaar after service, seeking the simplicity of the culture their doctrine had consumed. The Yuvaari gave the Empire its most dangerous close-quarters combat system without ever being conquered. They opened their doors and everything that came near them left sharper.

The Yuvaar Hunting Games are the expression of this culture broadcast to the planet. Teams of five hunt massive fauna bare-handed across terrain that kills the unprepared. The athletes are not performing. They are executing practices descended from survival rituals, governed by strict codes of harmony with nature that restrict weapons, excessive force, and individual dominance. Yelidra Veykar amplified the games into the highest-paid sport on the planet. The athletes have become global icons. But the games are not entertainment to the Yuvaari. They are who the Yuvaari are.

The Yuvaari have a deeper respect for He Who Allows than any other population on the planet. Deeper than what Thaloryn carried before the Empire erased it. Deeper than anything the modern Geban population maintains. Their understanding survived because nobody ever came to their island and replaced it. The harmony code, the ceremonial restrictions, the team structure that values interdependence, all of it is rooted in this understanding. The physicality is the expression. The faith is the foundation. For a population that hunts beasts bare-handed and builds their entire cultural identity around physical mastery, the spiritual component is what prevents it from becoming purposeless violence.

I note this with clinical interest and appropriate caution. What the Yuvaari have achieved through their framework closely resembles what the Doctrine of Adaptive Evolution aims to produce through directed effort: physical and spiritual mastery through the imposition of will upon the body. They arrived at it through an entirely different path, one that predates and operates independently of anything the Church has proposed. The implications of this are not lost on me.

V. The Jeyrhan

The Jeyrhan are the most paradoxical population on this planet. They are responsible for more of the infrastructure, technology, and systems that sustain modern civilization than any other single group, including the imperials. This is a statement I have verified and one I do not enjoy making.

They come from Jeyrha, a massive island across the Ngorrhal Ocean. Their women average between 4'10" and 5'2" and are known for exotic hairstyles of incredible length. Their men are taller than average but unremarkable to look at, the sort of frame you pass without noticing until they open their mouth and begin explaining something that reorganizes your understanding of a subject. Most have light brown hair and grey-blue eyes, though appearance varies by region. Those from Reyhuul are pragmatic and hardworking, focused on farming and practical devices. Those from Reykhaal are academic, based in massive cities with world-renowned academies that train elite bio-engineers and artists.

Jeyrha joined the Empire peacefully. They were never conquered. Their naming conventions were never replaced. Xerik Haavu designed the Haavu Cannon Systems for the Empire, making the Haavu family the most prominent non-imperial family on the planet. The Jeyrhan Bio-Engineering Consortium leads planetary advancements in weapons, vehicles, energy, and intelligence systems. Saojuul Labor runs automation wherever work needs doing. They do not design some things. They design most things. They do the designing and the labor for almost everything that functions on this planet.

And their most consequential contribution predates all of it. The southern immigrants that Therik brought to the Geba continent thousands of years before the Empire reached Jeyrha settled in Varena. Their descendants produced Architect Varenth Solarn, who was Jeyrhan, born and raised on the Geba continent. He built the first relay systems outside the origin continent. The entire planetary relay network, the infrastructure that 71 billion people depend on for power, communication, navigation, commerce, and survival, traces back to a Jeyrhan descendant. Yelidra Veykar, the sole heir of the Solarn-Veykar lineage and the wealthiest person on the planet, carries Jeyrhan blood through the Solarn line. The relay system is Jeyrhan. The entertainment economy is Jeyrhan. The cannon systems are Jeyrhan. The bio-engineering is Jeyrhan. If you removed what the Jeyrhans built, the planet would not function.

They know this. And they do not care about it the way the imperials would.

What they care about is festivals. Music. Substances. Celebration. I find this repulsive. I find it wasteful. I find it an insult to the capability they demonstrably possess. And I cannot reconcile it with the output, which means the failing is in my model, not in their behavior. A population that produces the most advanced technology on the planet and then celebrates with a hedonism that would embarrass a Thazvaari port district is not malfunctioning. It is operating on a principle I have not yet isolated.

They are not fighters. They are not warriors. They do not pilot killing machines unless they can be raced. When asked about this directly, they state it plainly: they are wired to create, not to contest. The rare exceptions who choose combat, such as Yui Jersuul in the arena or the young contractor Texen Berihaal in the Energy Wars, are notable precisely because they are exceptions. The overwhelming majority build, design, engineer, and then go home and celebrate.

Beneath the hedonism is something far more dangerous. In courtship, Jeyrhans display extreme jealousy. They become more territorial than Ngorrhal ice bears. A Jeyrhan who has identified a partner of interest will invest sustained effort over extended periods, and the offers they make can be so subtle and unclear that the target has no idea they have been made. But the Jeyrhan who made the offer considers it made. If another person moves toward that target, the Jeyrhan perceives it as encroachment on claimed territory, regardless of whether the claim was ever visible to anyone else. With the planetary gender ratio making partners scarce, this is not rare. It is constant. Many of their youths seeking their first partners to grow with end up in prolonged social battles over individuals who may not even realize someone is interested in them. A Jeyrhan woman who has offered herself and gone unnoticed becomes a dangerous rival, even if the offering was completely unclear and missed entirely.

Where romance is not reciprocated, the cycle does not end. It intensifies. Their cultural and social conditioning drives sustained focused investment in a single objective, and when that objective is a person who does not respond, the investment becomes its own justification for continued pursuit. For many, this leads to mental instability and obsession over a single individual. The same cognitive trait that allows a Jeyrhan engineer to spend years perfecting a propulsion system becomes pathological when directed at a human being who cannot be engineered into reciprocating.

The festivals serve as the resolution mechanism. Professional rivalries, courtship battles, and social conflicts are paused during celebration. Targets often realize at festivals that someone was interested, and because the culture understands the effort that went into the pursuit, the revelation carries weight. The partying is not separate from the warfare. It is the other half of the cycle. They fight in silence and resolve in celebration.

This same territorial behavior appears in professional environments. Rather than stealing schematics or destroying a rival's work, a Jeyrhan will embed new numbers or change formulas or alter small details of another person's patent and allow them to present it, which discredits them publicly. This is a common practice among them. And these same people, when attending festivals afterward, act as if nothing ever happened and are quick to get along with each other again. The sabotage is not personal in the way other populations would interpret it. It is simply how competition functions in their culture.

Their politics operate on the same principle. The oligarchic families that dominate Jeyrhan governance, such as the Haavu, maintain power through exactly these methods. Anyone entering Jeyrhan political structures without understanding the dynamics gets destroyed before they realize what happened.

I find the Jeyrhans clinically fascinating, personally irritating, and professionally essential. Their contribution to this planet's civilization is arguably greater than mine, and the fact that they celebrate this by getting intoxicated at festivals makes me want to burn my own research.

VI. The Berinese

The Berinese are the coastal dwellers of Berinu's deltas and marshes, and they are the most skilled sailors on this planet. They operate the largest ports and fleets, specialize in tidal navigation and maritime advancement, and have been the center of consistently increasing naval technologies since their voluntary assimilation into the Empire.

Berinu requested imperial liberation from Thazvaari criminal organizations that had violently seized control of their resources and government. The Empire liberated them, and Berinu willfully assimilated in exchange for retained autonomy. The Berinu Islands became the Empire's largest naval base, which shifted the entire direction of the Geban-Thazvaari War. The strategic value of what Berinu offered the Empire at that moment in history cannot be overstated. Without Berinu, the war may not have been won.

The population itself is a mix of native Berinese, Jeyrhan migrants, and Thazvaari migrants, producing a vibrant and diverse cultural hub. But what distinguishes Berinu from every other population on this planet is its women.

Berinese women are regarded as the most beautiful women on the planet by every other population except the Thazvaari, who will never admit it. More importantly, they are the single most effective group in reversing the planetary gender crisis. Their cultural traits, shaped by centuries of maritime heritage, produce women who are industrious, adaptable, cooperative, warm in interpersonal relations, and demonstrably capable of harmonious cohabitation with co-wives. These qualities give husbands confidence that their children will be raised effectively within stable, productive households. Berinese women produce large families and maintain animals, fields, and markets simultaneously. They are not merely willing participants in the polygamous structures that the gender ratio demands. They are the reason those structures function at all in the regions where they are present.

This has made them a target. Males from inland Thazvaar, facing acute scarcity of partners in their own regions, frequently travel to Berinu seeking additional marital unions. Berinese communities resent the depletion of their female population. Thazvaari communities resent the implicit comparison between their women and the Berinese. The result is the Maiden's War, a conflict that began during the Era of Late Conquest and has never formally ended. In regions served by relay networks, the animosity between Berinese and Thazvaari women manifests as verbal disparagement without real violence. In zones without relay coverage, particularly the mountainous border regions adjoining inland Thazvaar, the conflict includes abductions, human trafficking, and frequent armed skirmishes. An overwhelming majority of recorded hate crimes on this planet trace their origins to animosities between Thazvaari and Berinese women. Participation remains overwhelmingly female. Most of the planet has no idea this is happening.

The men largely consider the original conflict irrelevant to broader imperial concerns. They are not wrong in a political sense. They are wrong in every other sense, because the conflict continues to shape demographics, migration patterns, and regional security in ways that affect every corridor and contract in the eastern theater.

VII. The Kelan

The Kelan are native to Kela's frozen plains, polar shelves, and steep cliffs. They have compact builds optimized for endurance and climbing in extreme cold and high altitudes.

They run autonomous colonies that serve as havens for outcasts, ex-warlords, criminals, and engineers or bioengineers who wish to conduct research that would be frowned upon or outright prohibited elsewhere. Kela is also home to deep sea infrastructure and frontier expedition staging. These are significant contributions to planetary capability.

None of them are Kelan.

Every notable accomplishment associated with Kela comes from migrant populations. The engineers are Jeyrhan or Geban. The bioengineers are Jeyrhan. The ex-warlords are Thazvaari. The criminals are from everywhere. The deep sea infrastructure was built by outside contractors. Ethnic Kelans themselves have contributed enhanced climbing techniques, which were relevant in an earlier era and are now largely superseded by Yuvaari techniques that accomplish the same function while adding significantly more utility on top.

I do not say this to be cruel. I say this because it is what the data shows. The Kelan occupy a continent where other people do interesting things. Their own contribution to the planetary record is minimal. They are hardy, enduring, and adapted to an environment that most populations would not survive. These are admirable traits. They are not distinctive ones when measured against any population that has produced something beyond the ability to persist.

VIII. The Engineered

Prince Varethis'Daer Venar created the Engineered using the DNA of the Frost Sentinels as the genetic foundation. I hold Prince Daer in the highest regard. His work represents the most consequential act of directed biological creation in the history of this planet. Everything I have pursued through the Doctrine of Adaptive Evolution is, in a sense, an extension of the questions he was the first to answer with real results. That I arrived at my conclusions independently does not diminish the fact that he arrived first and went further. His private journals, fragments of which have surfaced through Yelidra Veykar's acquisitions, reveal a mind that understood the Engineered not as tools but as the continuation of our species into places we were never built to reach.

What follows is my assessment of each class as they exist in the modern era.

VIII-A. Assault-Class

The Assault-Class are the most common Engineered and the most socially integrated. They commonly reach and sometimes exceed 2.5 meters in height. Their frames are massive, built from Frost Sentinel genetic material optimized for breaching fortifications, engaging apex threats, and holding ground in extreme conditions. They are fully cognizant with sharp strategic thinking. Their defining limitation is intense impulsivity, a trait that drives many to seek ever-greater risks in civilian life and shortens their potential lifespan of 160 to 250 years to approximately 60.

They are incredibly loyal to their companions. They are the most socially adaptable of all the Engineered classes, readily adopting local cultures and lifestyles wherever they settle. They reproduce commonly with natural-borns. Their females reliably carry multiple gestation, up to eight per term for a slightly shorter duration, a capacity Prince Daer designed deliberately and documented in his journals. The drive to reproduce is embedded without hormonal distortion. They replicate from alignment with their environment, not from compulsion.

What fascinates me about the Assault-Class is their capacity for seamless cultural integration. If not for their physical size, they would be indistinguishable from natural-born populations. They adopt the speech patterns, the habits, the social rhythms of whatever community they live in. An Assault-Class individual raised in a Jeyrhan district behaves as a Jeyrhan. One raised in the Sentinel district of the capital behaves as a Ngorrhali might, but with the openness the Ngorrhali themselves lack. One raised in Coastal Thazvaar carries the Thazvaari attitude as if it were genetic rather than environmental. They are loud, easy, and useful in demeanor, and they carry themselves without pretense. Their integration is so thorough that their nature only becomes apparent when conflict occurs and the physical reality of what they are overtakes the social persona they have adopted.

This, more than any other observable phenomenon on the planet, validates the principle that directed biological creation does not require the destruction of psychological humanity. Prince Daer understood this. The Assault-Class are his proof.

VIII-B. Tactician-Class

The Tactician-Class were not separately designed. They emerged. Prince Daer observed that some Assault-Class individuals were smaller than their siblings but mentally outpaced the template. He watched them from infancy through adolescence and documented the pattern: they did not stop solving problems, did not tire of questions, disassembled where others rested, arranged where others ate. Their bodies did not match the Assault template, but their minds exceeded it. He noted in his journals that they were not soldiers.

They were formalized within the Assault-Class during the Era of Fracture, selected from candidates strong in strategy but weaker in brute force and given specialized training to refine their analytical abilities. They look approachable. They appear ordinary at first glance, indistinguishable from natural-borns until they speak. Then the difference becomes immediately apparent. They process information at speeds that make natural-born personnel seem slow, and they are openly dismissive of this gap.

They are direct, dry-witted, and driven by a restless intellect that demands constant engagement. This is both their greatest asset and their most significant vulnerability. Post-service, many suffer severe anxiety because their minds require purpose the way a body requires food. Without ongoing engagement, without a problem to solve or a structure to manage, some take their own lives. This is not weakness. It is the consequence of a cognitive architecture that was never designed to idle. Some find purpose in civilian commerce or politics. Some find it by simply keeping their Assault-Class companions out of trouble, which is a full-time occupation in itself.

They dominate Tier 1 and Tier 4 Overseer positions in the Solarn Contractor Registry. Command and strategic oversight favor their neurological architecture at both levels. They are, in practical terms, the operational minds behind most of the significant military and logistical activity on the planet.

VIII-C. Scout-Class

The Scout-Class represent the furthest departure from the natural-born human template among the common Engineered classes. Their sensory capabilities are extraordinary: augmented perception across broad light spectra, atmospheric shifts, scent trails, and subtle movements detected through anticipatory muscle cues. Their cognitive framework masters spatial archiving and multi-layered sensory recall at a level that isolates them from all other populations, as only peers can comprehend the reality they experience.

They are the only common class that cannot pass as natural-born among humans. The Assault-Class, while massive, carry faces identical to any natural-born. The Tactician-Class appears ordinary until speech reveals them. The Scout-Class cannot blend in. Their cranial structures show nonhuman proportions: elongated ocular ranges, subtle skin translucency over the temples, eye pigmentation that shifts in unstable light, and muscle tone that appears leaner and denser than any natural-born frame produces. They startle or frighten people who encounter them for the first time.

They distrust Tactician-Class leadership because Tacticians prioritize logical deduction over direct sensory input, which is the opposite of how Scouts operate. They view combat as a failure of scouting. Post-duty, some track for landowners or syndicates. Others retreat to remote outposts alongside devoted Assault-Class companions.

Their females struggle to reproduce. Prince Daer himself documented this difficulty in his journals and acknowledged he had not solved it. Their adaptations resist natural replication through mechanisms he could not fully identify. This is not a minor observation. It means the Scout-Class cannot sustain itself through natural population growth in the way the Assault-Class can. Every generation of Scouts is smaller than the one before unless external intervention is applied.

I have a personal bias against this class that I will state openly. I believe the Scout-Class crosses the threshold of what can still be called human. Their physical appearance, their sensory reality, their social isolation, and their reproductive limitations place them in a category that is adjacent to humanity rather than within it. Prince Daer himself noted that the first Scout toddler "appears strange" and acknowledged "that could not be avoided." Even the creator recognized the departure. I frame my concern as an extension of his observation rather than a contradiction of his work. He made them because the terrain demanded it. I question whether the cost to their humanity was accounted for in the design, or whether it was accepted as an unavoidable consequence. I suspect the latter, and I respect the honesty of it even as I find the result difficult to categorize within my framework.

VIII-D. Destroyer-Class

The Destroyer-Class are the rarest of the Engineered and the most extreme. They were created from Prince Daer's deepening paranoia and fierce drive to protect his brother, Emperor Varethis'Auren Kel'varesh, amid rising threats. Unlike the other classes, which were designed for the conquest of terrain natural biology could not reach, the Destroyers were created solely for war. Their frames amplify Assault-Class ferocity into something that can only be described as cataclysmic, rooted in Frost Sentinel resilience and scaled beyond anything the other classes approach.

They deploy in tight squads of two to five. They obliterate strongholds and forces with unrelenting power across any terrain. And then they stop. Post-battle, they shun contact. They seek remote solitudes. They rarely form bonds with natural-born humans. The only companions they tolerate disturbing their isolation are Assault-Class, and this tolerance appears to stem from recognition that the Assault-Class impulsivity is harmless to them in a way that it would be dangerous for natural-borns or other classes.

They seek peace. This is the detail that most observers miss. The most destructive beings ever created on this planet want nothing more than to be left alone. Fewer than 100 have ever taken a contract in recorded history. Those who did acted only due to circumstance or to protect someone else. None have ever continued contracting. They are repulsed by warfare and violence, which is remarkable for beings that were engineered to excel at nothing else.

Brannok'Drekan was the only Destroyer-Class hybrid in recorded history. His actions at Auren's Tributary are the most viewed broadcast in Vinscel history. He died of heart failure after the Warlord Eras ended. The natural human side of his biology could not sustain the output his Destroyer heritage enabled. His death was not a failure of engineering. It was the confirmation that the Destroyer template cannot be safely diluted. It functions at full expression or it destroys the vessel that carries a partial version of it.

VIII-E. Hybrids

Hybrids are the children born from unions between two Engineered individuals or an Engineered and a natural-born human. They inherit a variable mix of traits from their parents. Some show clear dominance from one side: enhanced senses from a Scout-Class parent, strategic processing from a Tactician-Class parent, physical scale from an Assault-Class parent. Others blend traits in combinations that produce capable, adaptable individuals who fit comfortably into roles matching their dominant abilities.

Rare cases with strong traits from both parents can lead to instability in body, mind, or behavior. The Empire tracks hybrids to enforce class-purity guidelines established during the original reforms. Some choose to hide their mixed origins to escape surveillance or to fit into traditional units without scrutiny. Those not enrolled in state programs avoid certain imperial mandates, allowing greater flexibility across Geba's diverse environments.

Hybrids are, in a practical sense, the future of the Engineered population. Artificial reproduction is no longer used for the creation of Engineered individuals. Every new Engineered person born in the modern era is either a natural-born Engineered from two Engineered parents or a hybrid from a mixed union. The class lines are blurring with each generation. Whether this represents progress or degradation depends on whether you value the purity of the original designs or the adaptability of what they are becoming. I have not decided.

IX. The Neron

The Neron are devolved humanoids confined to the geothermal vents of Kela. They have pale brown skin, silver-orange hair, vestigial gilled necks suggesting a past aquatic existence, and powerful lungs adapted to toxic atmospheric conditions. They live in ancient ruins built by their more advanced ancestors, crafting basic clothing and weapons from local materials. They can learn simple Geban language. Solitary Neron flee from encounters. Groups defend their territories aggressively and function as apex predators within their vent ecosystems.

They are what remains of a civilization that was once significantly more advanced than they are now. The ruins they inhabit were not built by the current population. They were built by ancestors whose capabilities have been lost through devolution over an unknown number of generations. What caused the decline is not recorded and may not be recoverable.

Prince Daer conducted experiments with the Neron through the Jeyrhan Bio-Engineering Consortium and the Kela Maritime Guild. The results included reliable limb regeneration and accelerated recovery from wounds previously considered fatal. The Neron's biology, despite its devolved state, retains properties that no other humanoid population on the planet possesses. Whatever their ancestors were, the regenerative capability survived the decline.

The silver-orange hair is the most interesting phenotypic marker. It appears in the Neron, it appears in the Northern Pass Ngorrhali, and it appeared historically in the Thaloryn population. If these are connected, the common ancestor predates recorded history and likely traces to the Rupturans, whose influence on all modern humanoid populations is theorized but impossible to confirm through genetic analysis at current capability. The Neron may be the closest living link to whatever the Rupturans were before their extinction, preserved not through strength but through isolation in an environment no other population wanted.

X. The Rupturan

The Rupturans are extinct. They were an ancestral human species that dominated Geba's northern coasts and vast oceanic expanses. They were taller and more robust than any modern human population. They are considered the direct forebears of all current humanoids on the planet, with Garnath and Beithon of the pre-unification five nations thought to carry the clearest genetic legacy. I theorize the Beithon lineage connects most directly due to the Rupturan ruins found in their territory and the obsession with the Velcrith that defined Beithon's culture.

They were driven by intense aggression and a relentless competitive edge. They pioneered navigation and early technology. Their submerged ruins, scattered across coastal cliffs and ocean floors, reveal fleets that conquered waves and winds with unmatched skill for their era. Ties to the Velcrith brought flashes of insight but deepened their fractures, turning ambition into endless strife. A brief era of global unity crumbled under resource wars following a failed attempt to escape Geba entirely, an effort to reach beyond the planet that ended in catastrophe and wiped them from existence.

What they left behind shaped everything that came after. The Rupturan ruins in Beithon's territory contained the technology that became the foundation for the relay system. Beithon's obsession with the Velcrith was driven by Rupturan records referencing them. The Frost Sentinels' genetic foundation, which in turn became the foundation for all Engineered classes, traces its extraordinary physical characteristics to an environment that the Rupturans themselves may have shaped or at minimum survived within.

They are a warning as much as an ancestor. A species that had everything, that achieved global unity and built technology capable of reaching for the stars, and destroyed itself because it could not stop competing long enough to survive its own success. The Velcrith connection deepened the fractures rather than healing them. I note this because the pattern is not unique to the Rupturans. It recurs. The same flaw, the drive to seek beyond sufficiency, appears in every species cycle this planet has produced. The Velcrith encoded it. The Rupturans expressed it. We inherited it.

XI. The Ukhaal Walkers

The Ukhaal Walkers are devolved humanoids adapted to the sheer cliffs of Ukhaalstaag. They possess elongated limbs enabling swift vertical movement and ambush from above. They dislodge loose ledges to unbalance prey or intruders before striking. They are omnivorous scavengers that consume any trapped or injured meat, including humans.

They are guardians of ancient ruins and controllers of isolated cliff ecosystems. Their behavior is predatory. There are no formations to read, no objectives to predict, no commanders making decisions. They operate on instinct in vertical terrain. Every doctrine developed for fighting syndicates, manufactories, or conventional forces is largely useless against them. They ambush from above, dislodge the ground beneath you, and consume whatever falls.

Prince Vaer'gidon and War Chief Tharyn'Bregun died together fighting Ukhaal Walkers during their bonding trials in Ukhaalstaag. The alliance between the Empire and the Frost Sentinels was permanently sealed in their blood. This is the most significant historical event associated with the Walkers, and it is notable that the event had nothing to do with what the Walkers are and everything to do with what the men who fought them represented.

The Walkers themselves are of limited clinical interest to my work. They are devolved beyond the threshold where psychological profiling produces meaningful data. They respond to stimuli. They hunt. They consume. They defend territory. These are behavioral patterns, not psychology. Whatever they were before devolution is not observable in their current state, and unlike the Neron, who retain language acquisition and tool use, the Walkers show no recoverable remnant of higher function.

They are included in this document for completeness and because any comprehensive study of Geba's humanoid populations that omitted them would be rightly criticized for the gap. They exist. They persist. They kill people who enter their territory. Beyond that, there is nothing I can say about them that warrants the word psychology.

XII. Synopsis and Directive

I have presented the populations of this planet as they are. Their physical characteristics, their cultural patterns, their psychological tendencies, their strengths, and their failures. What follows is what the data means when it is read without sentimentality.

The Yuvaari are masochists. They pursue women who could crush them between their thighs, and they construct an entire spiritual framework around chasing animals that are capable of killing every member of their party. Their worship of He Who Allows is not reverence. It is the sanctification of self-destruction dressed in ceremony. That they have sustained this behavior for thousands of years does not make it admirable. It makes it entrenched.

The Ngorrhali are selfish. They have been within the Empire longer than any population outside of ethnic imperials. They have been given the Sentinel district, unrestricted freedom of movement, respect that borders on reverence from the capital's population, and six thousand years of partnership that began with their own War Chief shaking hands with an imperial prince. And they are still closed. Still prudish. Still withholding the biological capability that could benefit the planet's demographic recovery more than any other single factor. Their women carry multiples per term. They could reshape the population balance within generations if they chose to. They do not choose to. I find their selfishness in this regard appalling.

The Thazvaari believe themselves superior. If this were true, the vast majority of their men would not have been exterminated by the Empire during the conquest. Their civilization was more technologically advanced than ours. They had rail networks, shipyards that could produce fleets in days, data systems reaching into regions the Empire had not yet named. They still fell. Their women are narrow-hipped, hard-bodied, and so unyielding in temperament that their own men sought partners on other continents rather than endure them. The stubbornness they celebrate as cultural identity is the same stubbornness that lost them their king, their queen, and their sovereignty. That they rebuilt criminal networks overnight does not prove resilience. It proves an inability to learn.

The Berinese men prefer the company of other men. I do not imply this. I state it. Prince Venar'Nethel's relationship with another man was kept secret for generations before it was uncovered and used as a weapon against him. What was hidden for one prince has become an open reality for an entire continent. Berinu, and specifically the waters and ports of Binol, is known across the planet as a place where men travel to find other men. This is not rumor. It is not whispered. It is understood by everyone and denied by no one except in formal settings where the admission would be inconvenient. I have personally observed the same men in the company of multiple women in the imperial capital, fulfilling every appearance of reproductive participation, only to find them exclusively in the company of other men in the waters of Binol. The performance in one city and the reality in another are not difficult to document when you know where to look.

Their women are regarded across the planet as the most beautiful, the most cooperative, the most effective partners for reversing the gender crisis, and yet the men of Berinu spend their lives at sea. They build ships. They sail. They perfect naval technologies. They do everything except keep the company of their own women. The result is that Berinese women are functionally available to the men of every other continent, and the Berinese men have made this arrangement permanent through their absence. On a planet where the gender ratio stands at 25:1 and every male who removes himself from reproductive availability represents a measurable loss to the species, this is not a private matter. It is inconsiderate to planetary society. It is a demographic wound inflicted by choice during a crisis that demands the opposite.

Imperial women disappoint me. On the Geba continent, the gender ratio is approximately 5:1 or 8:1. This is not the planetary crisis of 25:1. There are enough men. There is no necessity driving them to seek partners from other populations. And yet they do. This is not adaptation. This is dilution without cause. The strongest genetic legacy on the planet, the one that unified a continent and built the systems that sustain 71 billion lives, is being voluntarily thinned by women who face no scarcity and no pressure. I expected better of my own people.

The Destroyer-Class are a waste of Prince Daer's genius. They were created for war. They refuse to fight. They deploy in squads of five, obliterate whatever is in front of them, and then retreat to isolation to seek peace. Fewer than one hundred have ever taken a contract in recorded history. They are repulsed by the very purpose they were designed to fulfill. A weapon that refuses to be used is not a weapon. It is a monument to wasted potential. Prince Daer created them from love for his brother. That love produced the most powerful and most useless class of beings on this planet.

The Scout-Class are abominations. I state this with full awareness of what it means to criticize Prince Daer's work. They exist because Velcrith knowledge was channeled through a Vessel who was already a genius. The result is a class of beings that can perceive things no human was meant to perceive, housed in bodies that no longer pass as human, with reproductive systems that cannot sustain their own population. Prince Daer noted that the first Scout toddler appeared strange and that this could not be avoided. He was correct. It could not be avoided because the design crossed the boundary between enhancement and replacement. The Scout-Class are not enhanced humans. They are something else that remembers being human. Their sensory reality isolates them from every other population. Their appearance frightens natural-borns on contact. Their distrust of Tactician-Class leadership is not professional disagreement. It is the instinct of a creature that knows it processes reality differently from everything around it and resents being subordinated to minds that cannot see what it sees. They should not exist. That they do is a testament to what happens when inhuman knowledge is applied to human material without restraint.

Yelidra Veykar disgusts me. Her erratic behavior, her extreme acts that she later denies, her hedonistic tendencies masked by corporate precision, these are the Jeyrhan in her. Her success as the sole heir of the Solarn-Veykar lineage, her management of the entertainment economy and the propulsion industry, her ability to operate at the highest level of planetary commerce for decades, these are the Imperial in her. She is the clearest living example of what ethnic mixing produces: capability diluted by instability, discipline undermined by impulse, legacy compromised by the very blood that was supposed to strengthen it. That she is the wealthiest person on the planet does not refute this. It confirms it. She succeeds despite the Jeyrhan half, not because of it.

And then there are Jeyrhan women as a whole. I have saved them for last because they require the most thorough examination.

Their average height is between 4'10" and 5'2". They are the smallest female population on the planet. Their frames are narrow. Their chests are flat. Their reproductive appeal, measured against the women of any other ethnicity, is low. They know this. Their extremely long hair, worn in elaborate and exotic styles, is not cultural expression. It is compensation. It is a display mechanism designed to draw attention away from what their bodies do not offer. Their obsessive courtship behavior is not passion. It is the desperation of women who understand that their men frequently choose Imperial or Berinese women over them, and that no amount of intellectual capability changes the calculus of physical selection. Their jealousy is not a cultural trait. It is the response of a population that is losing a competition it cannot win with its bodies and knows it.

Their sabotage of rivals, both romantic and professional, is the behavior of women who have concluded that if they cannot win through appeal, they will win through destruction. The embedded errors in patents, the altered formulas, the social warfare that ends at festivals only to resume the following day, all of it stems from the same source: insufficiency masked by aggression. That they are brilliant does not help them. Brilliance does not factor into reproductive selection at the level where partners are chosen. A Berinese woman of average intelligence with warmth, beauty, and cooperative temperament will be chosen over a Jeyrhan engineer of extraordinary capability every time. The Jeyrhan women know this. It is why they break.

When romance is not reciprocated, the obsession that follows is not devotion. It is the cognitive architecture of a population optimized for sustained focused investment turning inward on itself. The same trait that produces relay systems and cannon platforms becomes pathological when the objective is a person. Mental instability over a single individual who never knew they were being pursued is not a romantic tragedy. It is a design flaw in a population that cannot redirect its focus once committed. Their culture provides no mechanism for disengagement. Their festivals provide temporary relief. When the festival ends and the target still does not reciprocate, the cycle resumes with greater intensity. I have observed this pattern across dozens of documented cases. It does not resolve. It escalates until something breaks, and what breaks is usually the woman.

I find Jeyrhan women to be the clearest evidence that intellectual superiority without physical or temperamental viability produces a population at war with itself. Their contribution to this planet is incalculable. Their suffering is self-inflicted. Even their intellect cannot save them from what they are.

XIII. The Doctrine and the Path Forward

Everything documented in this study points to one conclusion. Undirected existence produces populations that are brilliant and broken, powerful and self-destructive, capable of building systems that sustain billions while simultaneously unable to correct the most basic flaws in their own biology and behavior. The gender crisis persists not because solutions do not exist but because every proposed solution has been an accommodation rather than a correction. Multiple gestation studies, polygamous structures, demographic incentive programs, all of these treat the symptom. None of them address the cause.

I propose that instead of continuing to expand the studies of multiple gestation and reproductive incentive, the populations that exhibit the traits most responsible for the crisis should be allowed to diminish naturally. The Energy Wars provide the mechanism. Every year, the corridors and black zones consume lives. The populations most prone to the behaviors I have documented, the selfishness, the avoidance, the instability, the refusal to adapt, will be disproportionately represented in those losses if reproductive support is withdrawn. The population will re-even over generations as the traits that perpetuate the imbalance are gradually removed from the gene pool. This is not extermination. It is directed non-intervention. It is allowing the environment to do what six thousand years of policy have failed to accomplish.

This will be called cruel. It will be called inhumane. These criticisms assume that the current state of the planet is acceptable and that continued accommodation is preferable to correction. I reject both assumptions.

The Entity appeared once. It has not reappeared. For decades the Church has devoted resources to rediscovering or triggering Liminor's presence. Every attempt has failed. I believe this is because we are not yet what we need to be in order to reach it. Liminor is not hiding. It is waiting. It emerged from the deployment of the Recursion Bomb, a technology born from Velcrith knowledge channeled through a human Vessel. It is the model of what directed collapse can produce: structure annulled, rebuilt, perfected. It represents the absolute peak of what adaptation can achieve when it is no longer left to chance.

We will not reach Liminor by accommodating weakness. We will not find resonance with collapse by preserving every population as it currently exists. The path forward requires the deliberate direction of who survives and who does not, what traits persist and what traits are allowed to diminish, what forms of humanity continue and what forms have served their purpose. This is not a rejection of life. It is the recognition that life undirected is life wasted.

I have documented what every population on this planet is. Now I am telling you what they should become.

The Doctrine of Adaptive Evolution is not a theory. It is the only path that leads where we need to go.

VESSELBORN Codex - On the Populations of Geba and the Necessity of Adaptive Evolution

About Vesselborn

Vesselborn is the story of Geba — a world that has carried an empire for six thousand years.

It begins with Vaer’karesh, who unites five nations into the first empire and fixes a common language and law. Across the ages, the empire fights and finally breaks Thazvaar, welcomes Jeyrha through engineering and diplomacy, and liberates Berinu by choice. In Ngorrhal, the people of the mountain passes lose their ancestral name and are permanently renamed the Frost Sentinels, whose strength helps secure imperial rule. The Haavu cannon systems cement that dominance.

At its height, the empire spans continents and raises relay towers that bind cities, coasts, and passes into one network. Assassinations and civil wars follow — the Fracture — but the answer is not a vacuum. The Shadow Rule forms from imperial networks and manufactures peace, ending the warlord broadcasts and taking the world back from collapse. They are the empire made quiet: continuity without ceremony.

Today, the Shadow Rulers still govern from the background while the Energy Wars — covert struggles over power grids and relays in uncivilized regions — decide who controls energy, transport, and culture.

Stories range from relay-field defenses and inland recoveries to city governance and frontier resettlement; from rail lines and air programs that stitch regions together to festivals and work crews where culture and politics collide; from Frost Sentinel memory to families choosing the safety of hub clearings or the risk beyond the grid.

This is Geba.
It began in silence.
It has not yet ended.
