The Measured Abyss
The Uncharted Sea is the water directly off the eastern coast of the Uncharted. It holds the trenches that are known to fall hundreds of kilometers, the deepest water anyone has ever put a number to, and even that number is only the edge of it. Like the Deep to its north, the Sea is unexplorable and works by the Uncharted's own rules. Sailing into it causes every system aboard to fail, and that failure combined with the weather makes escape very nearly impossible.
What is known of it is known from its rim. Past that rim the same silence takes hold that takes hold everywhere the Uncharted touches, and the sea keeps whatever crosses into it.
the Crystalhorn Behemoth is native to the deep water surrounding the Uncharted, a species measured in kilometers, never recorded young, presumed to live on at a depth and scale beyond anything the relay network or current technology can watch.
