The Old Dominion Sea lies south of Coastal Thazvaar, the water the Thazvaari Dominion once ruled with the finest fleets of its age, reaching east toward Yuvaar and the quiet northern shore of Seravaar. Its old shipping lanes still carry the trade of the south over a seabed thick with the wrecks of the war that ended the Dominion.

The sea is not one thing across its whole width. Its northern water is clear and passable, the only open approach to Seravaar, but toward its southern reach it gives way to the Lost Currents, and there the same sea turns into something no fleet has ever crossed and returned from.
