Warlord Factions were rogue military leaders, criminal syndicates, and extremists who seized regions during societal collapse across the Warlord Eras. They used psychological warfare, broadcasted atrocities through captured relays, and targeted Vessels to fracture order and control populations. They operated across every continent where imperial authority had weakened, and their methods ranged from territorial occupation to genocide.
Names, lineages, and records of those who were unable to escape to Inland Thazvaar were erased in coordinated purges seventeen years before the start of Modern Geba. Fewer than one percent of natural-born warlords survived the purge. Over ninety percent of Engineered warlords escaped to the Inland, where some remain active in the modern era.
