Resurgents are reemerging opposition movements that persist in distant lands after conquest during the Era of Absolute Expansion. They are unfinished wars given form, communities and cadres that never accepted Geban assimilation and continue to contest it in the margins of empire.
Their expressions range from sporadic attacks on loyal citizens, most often ethnic Gebans, to bands of fighters who do not recognize that their campaigns are already lost, and to saboteurs fixated on mega relays. Lacking mass or logistics, relay strikes rarely succeed without a large force, yet the attempts continue. The movement's power is symbolic endurance: a refusal to collapse into silence even when victory is impossible.
