Rockjaw Mat is a rare, ground-hugging plant native to Manalheim and the small volcanic islands east of Yuvaar. It grows exclusively on freshly cooled rock, embedding its roots deep into fissures formed by solidified lava. Its leathery leaves interlock tightly, forming tough mats that resist erosion and stabilize terrain in post-eruption environments.
Though it has no known industrial or medicinal application, its ability to colonize barren volcanic ground makes it one of the first lifeforms to appear after eruptions. These mats create footholds for later plant succession and provide thermal shelters for small fauna along newly cooled ridges and slopes.
