The Ngorrhal Cliffspire is a rare plant found along Ngorrhal’s high cliffs and ridges, closely related to the Ngorrhal Root. It grows in narrow crevices where the wind is sharpest, forming twisted stems that cling to stone and draw nutrients from mineral-heavy frost. While nearly impossible to cultivate, wild specimens are harvested carefully for their potent chemical compounds. When dried and prepared, the Cliffspire can be brewed into tea or smoked, though its effects are far stronger than the Root and entirely unsuitable for daily use.
The plant’s extract produces deep sedative and trance-like states, often lasting for several hours. Users describe sensations of falling weightlessly, followed by complete loss of muscle control and partial hallucination. Because of this, the Cliffspire is used only recreationally or ceremonially, often among mountaineers or Frost Sentinel veterans seeking calm after high-altitude exposure. Despite its reputation, dependency is rare due to the intensity of its effects, and the plant remains a controlled but legal luxury across much of modern Geba.
