Dusthorn

The Dusthorn is a low, thorned shrub native to the deserts and dunes of Coastal Thazvaar. Nearly invisible at night, its pale-gray branches blend seamlessly with sand and rock. The plant’s razor-sharp thorns excrete a neurotoxin that, while nonlethal, induces temporary blindness and numbs the nervous system within seconds of puncture. Those affected often lose balance and orientation, making them vulnerable to predators that learn to follow Dusthorn clusters. Though valued for its dew-retaining structure and durability in arid climates, the plant remains one of Thazvaar’s most dangerous natural hazards after dark.
