Origin: The Uncharted Continent (Geba)
The Redback Titanbird is a colossal reptilian avian species native to Geba’s Uncharted Continent. Possessing six limbs—four legs and two wings—it stands among the largest known lifeforms ever recorded, estimated at over 200,000 tonnes with a wingspan approaching 300 meters. It dwells in remote, unmapped regions beyond all verified expeditions, known only through distant visual accounts and atmospheric disturbances attributed to its movement. Living an estimated 5,000–10,000 years with no confirmed remains or observed juveniles, its reproductive cycle and population structure remain entirely unknown. Its rarity and elusiveness sustain speculation that it exists as the sole apex entity within its domain, unchallenged by any other species. First recorded during the Era of Imperial Conquest (~3,500 years before modern Geba), the Titanbird was sighted during Emperor Venar’Tal’s execution of King Hies at the Thazvaari annexation. To the Gebans, it was seen as an omen of unity and expansion; to the Thazvaari, a herald of destruction and divine wrath—echoed in their eclipse hymns and burial laments. Its dual-winged, quadrupedal anatomy and unimaginable mass solidify the Redback Titanbird as one of the Codex’s most enigmatic and potentially devastating creatures—a living monument to power, isolation, and the thin line between empire and extinction.
